Boston's band aid boy, J.D. Drew isn't playing against the Orioles tonight according to NESN.com. While I don't generally question player injuries, it seems like Drew never makes any effort to play through the pain.
By contrast, if Youkie gets hurt, or Wakey, they usually try and battle through it. Same goes for Varitek.
But Drew, I'm not so sure.
Now if he really is really, really hurt, that's a different story. We can't afford to lose his bat down the stretch, but JD has the reputation of being a baby when it comes to injuries, and he hasn't exactly done anything to shake it off either.
